Why Choose Microneedling?
WRINKLES & AGEING SKIN
The micro-injuries created with microneedling stimulate the body’s natural wound healing processes, resulting in increased cell turnover and collagen/elastin production, therefore reversing – as well as preventing – signs of ageing.

HYPERPIGMENTATION
Microneedling involves piercing the skin with small sterile needles to produce a controlled skin injury. This triggers the skin’s wound-healing process which prompts skin cell turnover and allows fresh, new cells to replace damaged ones. At the same time, it boosts collagen and elastin production to remodel skin by altering tissue formation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

- Reduce acne scars
- Reduce hyper-pigmentation and age spots
- Reduce scars
- Improve skin texture
- Repair and plump the skin
- Improve tonicity of the skin

What to expect during the procedure?
First, an anesthetic cream is applied to your skin to keep you comfortable during the procedure. Next, I’ll apply a light layer of hydrating serum to lubricate your skin and make the derma-pen glide more smoothly. The device will glide over your skin, gently creating micro punctures on the skin’s surface.
The process typically takes less than 30 minutes, and, afterwards, your skin will be red (somewhat similar to a sunburn).
What to expect post-procedure?
Your skin may be red and feel like you have a sunburn for a few days post-treatment. This is perfectly normal. Typically, your skin will feel back to normal approximately 3-4 days after treatment. Slight peeling may occur.
Those looking to treat deep wrinkles, stretch marks, severe sun damage or scarring may need multiple microneedling treatments. To ensure the safety of your skin, treatments are usually spaced out four weeks apart. This time period allows your own body to repair and rejuvenate before your next microneedling treatment.
How many treatments will I need & how often?
For the best results, we recommend an initial series of 6 treatments. The treatments should be done about 4 weeks apart. Improvements are usually seen after the second treatment and will continue to improve through the series. Maintenance treatments can be done after the series is completed and there is no limit on the amount of treatments that can be given. Treatment response is highly individual so there is no way to predict the final results.
Is it painful?
Microneedling uses extremely fine needles which makes the treatment very easy to tolerate. Some people do experience discomfort on certain areas of the face, but normally this isn’t an issue. Numbing cream is applied prior to procedure. Towards the end of the session the face may feel slightly tight and a bit sore, similar to having a sunburn.
What are the typical results?
Typically, you will begin to see results in about 6 to 8 weeks and improvements in the skin and collagen production will continue over the next year.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
It’s a good idea to organize your time so you can go straight home or only run minimal errands after the treatment.
You will need to stay out of the sun for several days and can not wear make up for 24 hours.
